Jukebox. Collectible mouth blown glass Christmas ornament from Merck Family's Old World Christmas.
More affordable than live music, a jukebox provided a greater variety of music for dancing or listening than a band. Extremely popular in the 1950s, the jukebox became a symbol of the teenage rock n' roll generation.
This Jukebox ornament is approximately 4 1/2" in ht and 2 3/4" in width. It is brightly colored with red, gold, black, silver and blue. Rock N' Roll is written in large letters on the back. It resembles the very popular "Rockola" jukebox of days gone by.
This traditional and beautiful glass ornament was carefully mouth-blown into a finely crafted mold. Then a hot solution of liquid silver was poured inside. Finally, it was delicately hand-painted and glittered for you to enjoy and cherish as a holiday heirloom!
